Pirates Give Back

Purpose

To give our GHS Pirates a sense of community and to understand the value of doing for others. The GHS Pirates were gifted with a beautiful and technologically advanced campus when the Granbury community voted to pass the most recent bond. The courses students are able to take at GHS often give them an advantage over other students their age. All of these reasons, and more, are why we, the GHS Pirates, feel it is important to give back to our community and say thank you for helping us succeed in our educational goals and in life.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, and keep checking back for updates to the list. If you have something you are interested in volunteering for that is not on the list, please see Ms. Burns in the GHS Learning Commons (Library). Please note that for everything you volunteer for, you must have an adult on record that will verify your volunteer hours. You will need their name, phone number, and/or email address.

I am in another organization. Will my hours count for both?

As far as Pirates Give Back, the answer is yes. You can count the hours you accumulate in NHS, StuCo, and other service based organizations for both Pirates Give Back and the service/academic organization you are in.
