Requirements for Completing Concurrent Associate’s Degree with High School Diploma

  • Weatherford College offers GISD students AA, AS, and an AAS Degrees*
  • Must complete the Core requirements
  • Must have sixty college hours, some must be completed at a Weatherford College Campus
  • Must complete High School Graduation Requirements
  • Must be advised by GISD counselor AND a Weatherford College Advisor
  • Should have a degree plan from a Weatherford College Advisor
 

Additional Information for Success

  • Must collaborate explicitly with GHS counselor and Weatherford College academic advisor
  • Would need to take English 1 and Algebra 1 in Grade 8
  • Must meet “Exceptional Student” requirement to start college work in Grade 10
  • Weatherford College Math 2412/2413/2414/2415 and Weatherford College Phys 2425/2426 can be 4th year advanced math/science credit
  • Weatherford College classes can be taken at Granbury Education Center or Weatherford College in Weatherford
  • Weatherford College classes can be taken during regular semesters, Summer I and/or Summer II
