Ticket & Stadium Info
TICKETS
- Graduates will receive 10 tickets to the graduation ceremony.
- Graduates do not need their own ticket.
TICKET PREFERENCE FORM (updated March 6)
- Parents should have a conversation with their graduating Senior about the family graduation ticket preference for either Home Side or Visitor Side.
- On March 9, Seniors will receive a form link in Google Classroom to submit their family preference.
- The form deadline is March 26.
- If needed, Seniors may log in to their previously submitted form to "edit their response" before the deadline.
- Seniors will pick up their 10 printed tickets along with cap & gown during lunch periods on May 6.
TICKET TERMS
- The 10 printed tickets given to each Senior will be based on availability and all one one side.
- There are no extra tickets.
- Tickets may be given to other families if not needed but hold no cash value.
- Guests must enter on either the Home Side or Visitor Side, based on ticket.
- Handicap seating is first come, first served.
STADIUM ENTRY & SEATING
- The stadium opens for guests at 7 p.m. The ceremony begins at 8 p.m.
- Stadium entrance is by ticket type - Home or Visitor; no exceptions. See Stadium Map.
- Each guest requires a ticket, even lap children.
- Lines will move faster if guests enter together and present their own ticket for entry.
- The stadium will be full. Guests may not be able to sit together and there is little room for personal belongings due to the limited space.
- Handicap seating is first come, first serve. Due to the limited availability of handicap seating, we kindly ask other guests to sit in general admission. See Handicap Seating Map.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Signs, banners, balloons, noisemakers, bubbles, silly string, or confetti are not allowed. If students or family members bring these items, the items will be confiscated, and the individual(s) will be removed from the ceremony.
- Students should not bring extra items in to graduation, such as purses, phones, wallets, keys, etc. These items will not be allowed in the Pirate Stadium during the ceremony.
CONCESSIONS
- Concessions will be offered on both the Home Side and Visitor Side, offered by the Jr. Optimists. Items will include various snacks and beverages along with small gifts and flower bouquets. Cash and card will be accepted.
FAQ
- Can we get extra tickets? No. Each graduating student will receive 10 tickets.
- Can we bring bags? The graduation ceremony will follow the Pirate Stadium No Bag Policy. Refer to the GISD Athletics page for clarification on prohibited, permitted, and exclusions to the no bag policy.
- Can we bring water bottles? While Pirate Stadium usually does not allow outside food or drink, the District Safety & Security team will allow guests to bring a personal, plastic bottle of water, in its original container. No coolers allowed. Water bottles will be for sale at the concession stands for minimal cost.
- Can we bring chairs? Personal stadium seat cushions are allowed but no large folding chairs to conserve space.
