Granbury High School Seniors Named National Merit Commended Scholars

Granbury High School seniors Grace Blevins and Eli Forrest have been recognized as National Merit Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Commended Students are among the top 50,000 high scorers nationwide on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Students who earn this designation have placed in the top 3-4% of all test-takers of the PSAT nationwide during their junior year.

“Grace and Eli represent the very best of Granbury High School. Their commitment to learning and excellence has brought tremendous pride to our district,” said Duane Fish, Granbury High School principal. “We are thrilled to see their hard work recognized at this national level.”

More than 1.5 million students entered the 2025 program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT during their junior year. Of those, about 34,000 receive Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement.

Granbury ISD congratulates Grace Blevins and Eli Forrest on this well-deserved honor and looks forward to their continued success as leaders and scholars.
