• Veterans Day Essay Contest winners were announced before Monday’s board meeting. In partnership with Julie Pannell and Friends of Memorial Lane, over 400 essays were submitted across the district.

• Granbury High School DECA Club Officers were introduced for National DECA Month by DECA advisor Kylee Peterson.

• Shottenkirk Senior of the Month was Josefina Berry, who was awarded a $500 scholarship.
• New School Board Trustees, Tim Bolton (Place 3) and Courtney Gore (Place 4), were sworn in before Monday’s meeting.
• Outgoing School Board Trustee, Melanie Graft, was presented with a plaque from GHS CTE for her service to the board.
• The GISD School Board named new officers for the 2024-25 calendar year.
